Seal Unicorn Games ("we", "us", or "our") develops games available on Poki.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our games, how we use and protect that information, how third-party analytics services process it on our behalf, and what privacy rights may be available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to data processing performed by Seal Unicorn Games in connection with our games. Poki.com may separately collect and process information under its own privacy policies.

1. Games Covered by This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all games released by Seal Unicorn Games on Poki.com, including all current and future releases.

We use GameAnalytics to understand how our games are played and to improve their quality.

Depending on the game and the analytics events implemented in it, GameAnalytics may process the following categories of information:

• Pseudonymous identifiers, such as a GameAnalytics-generated user identifier, session identifiers, session numbers, and individual event identifiers.
• Gameplay and progression information, such as levels started, completed or failed, number of attempts, scores, game progress, playtime, session duration, and other gameplay events.
• In-game economy information, such as virtual currencies or resources earned, spent, or used, where these events are tracked by the game.
• Technical information, such as game version or build, GameAnalytics SDK version, platform, operating system and version, device information, game engine version, connection type, and similar technical information made available to the analytics SDK.
• Approximate location information, such as country and, depending on GameAnalytics processing and configuration, region or city. This information may be derived from the player's IP address. GameAnalytics may process an IP address for this purpose and may store it in anonymized form.
• Event and session timestamps and other metadata associated with analytics events.
• Performance and error information, where configured, to help us identify bugs, crashes, performance issues, or other technical problems.

The exact analytics events may differ between games.

GameAnalytics considers pseudonymous identifiers and gameplay information associated with an individual player identifier to be personal data under applicable data protection laws, even when that information does not directly identify the player by name.

3. How We Use Information

We use analytics information to:

• Understand how players interact with our games.
• Measure game progression and identify where players encounter difficulties or stop playing.
• Improve level design, balancing, game mechanics, and in-game economies.
• Measure playtime, sessions, retention, and general player engagement.
• Identify bugs, errors, performance problems, and technical issues.
• Evaluate changes and improvements made to our games.
• Maintain and improve the overall quality of our games.

We do not use GameAnalytics data to intentionally identify players by their real-world identity.

4. GameAnalytics

We use GameAnalytics ApS as our analytics service provider.

For analytics data collected from our games, Seal Unicorn Games acts as the data controller, meaning that we determine why analytics information is collected and used.

GameAnalytics acts as a data processor and processes analytics data on our behalf and according to our instructions and our agreement with GameAnalytics.

GameAnalytics may use authorized subprocessors and cloud infrastructure to provide its services. This may involve processing information in countries other than the country in which the player is located. Where required, GameAnalytics uses appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

5. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Through our gameplay analytics, we do not intentionally collect:

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Your telephone number.
• Login passwords or account credentials.
• Your street address.
• Precise GPS or other precise geolocation information.
• Contacts, private messages, or similar personal communications.
• Sensitive personal information such as health information, religious beliefs, political opinions, or biometric information.

Our games do not require players to provide these categories of information in order to use GameAnalytics.

If you contact Seal Unicorn Games directly by email, we will receive the information that you voluntarily provide in your message. Such correspondence is separate from gameplay analytics.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent player personal data.

Analytics information may be shared with:

• GameAnalytics, which processes analytics information on our behalf.
• Authorized subprocessors used by GameAnalytics where necessary to provide its analytics and infrastructure services.
• Government authorities, courts, or law enforcement, where disclosure is required by applicable law.
• Other parties where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights, the security of our games, or our players.

We may also use or share aggregated or anonymized statistics that can no longer reasonably be associated with an individual player.

7. Data Retention

We retain analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for analytics, game improvement, security, and related operational purposes.

GameAnalytics maintains different retention periods for different categories of analytics data.

As of the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy, the GameAnalytics Data Processing Addendum specifies retention periods including:

• Raw and annotated analytics data: 1 month.
• Player Warehouse data: 1 year.
• Player Lookup data used for retention calculations: 18 months.

Some information may subsequently be aggregated, anonymized, or deleted.

GameAnalytics may update its retention practices from time to time. Current retention information is available in the GameAnalytics Data Processing Addendum and Data Retention and Deletion Policy.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your country or region, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:

• Request access to personal data relating to you.
• Request correction or deletion of personal data.
• Request restriction of certain processing.
• Object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Request portability of your personal data where applicable.
• Submit a complaint to an appropriate data protection authority.

Because GameAnalytics primarily uses pseudonymous identifiers rather than names or email addresses, additional technical information or identifiers may be required to locate data associated with a particular player.

9. Security of Your Information

Seal Unicorn Games takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect analytics information against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

GameAnalytics also maintains technical and organizational security measures for information processed through its services.

No method of transmission or electronic storage can provide absolute security, but we and our service providers take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information being processed.

10. Children's Privacy

Our games do not ask players to provide their name, email address, telephone number, or other direct contact information for analytics purposes.

Where additional requirements apply to the processing of children's personal data, we and our service providers are required to comply with applicable children's privacy laws and platform requirements.
